Requirements for the articles

  1. The article should be submitted only in a doc-file, typed in a Microsoft Word XP/2003 text editor (not allowed in other versions of Word). Page format: A5 (width 148 mm, length 210 mm). Margins — 1 cm. Text of the article should be drawn up in one column. Line spacing — single. Paragraph indentation — 0.5 cm. Font type: Times New Roman. Font Size — 11 points. Page numbering should be in the footer, centered.
  2. At the beginning of the article a detailed index UDC a detailed UDC index should be placed according to the current classifiers. This is followed by the initials and surnames of the authors (bold italic, right-aligned), the title of the article (capital letters, bold, centered), abstract, keywords, and the translation of the listed parts of the text into English. At the end of the document, after the list of references, put information about the authors and its translation into English (surname, name, patronymic, academic degree, academic rank, position held, place of work (officially accepted name of the organization), address with postal code, phone / fax, e-mail)). Links to grants are provided in a footnote on the first page.
  3. The article should be structured and contain an introduction, a number of sections with possible subsections, a conclusion, and a list of references.
  4. Formulas typing should be carried out in the formula editor Microsoft Equation 3/4 or MathType 5/6A. Don’t use the standard Word 2007/ 2010 formula editor (you should use the MathType editor). It is not allowed to type formulas as a text (including a table of characters, superscript or subscript), to use autoshapes, to insert formulas as pictures, compress the formulas as pictures.
  5. All formulas referred to in the text are placed on a separate line with numbering in parentheses along the right edge of the page (the line is right-aligned). Basic font size in formulas is 11 pt. The font size in formulas for indexes is calculated automatically, but in the case of a complex hierarchy of indexes, individual characters may not be distinguishable enough, in which case manual correction of the character size is required.

Article submission and publication payment

  1. The texts should be submitted in electronic form. The file name should contain the name of the first author.
  2. The cost of publishing one article, which partially covers the costs of publishing the journal, mail services for sending articles to members of the editorial board and copies of the journal to non-resident and foreign authors, is 200 rubles for 1 page (173x237 mm) for BSU employees, and 400 rubles for the others.
  3. Payment for the publication of an article, the authors of which are only graduate students, is not charged. The authors should provide a certificate from the institution confirming that the authors are graduate students.
  4. Payment is made after the notice of editorial board about the acceptance of the article for publication by postal transfer to the address specified in the notice. When paying by transfer it is necessary to send a copy of the transfer receipt by e-mail.
  5. The editorial board does not accept the articles that do not meet the submission requirements. The decision to publish an article is made by the editorial board of the journal "BSU Bulletin. Mathematics, Informatics". The corrected articles are not sent to the authors, received materials are not returned. Authors are not paid a fee. The editorial board doesn’t have an opportunity for correspondence with the authors on the issues of article review. The editorial board doesn’t discuss reasons for the refusal of publication.

The National Standard of the Russian Federation (GOST) introduced some amendments to the System of Standards for Information, Librarianship and Publishing in terms of the design of articles in journals and collections.

In particular, the following requirements are put forward:

  1. The type of article should be given before the UDC in a separate line on the left, for example: Original article, Review article, Brief communication, Review, etc.
  2. The author's e-mail is given without the word "e-mail".
  3. The word "Abstract" should be given before the abstract.
  4. Gratitude to organizations, institutions, supervisors and other persons who assisted in the preparation of the article should precede the word "Acknowledgements".
  5. At the end of the article the following information about the dates should be given: The article was submitted; approved after reviewing; accepted for publication.

Articles that do not meet the submission requirements will not be accepted for publication by the publishing department.
