The article is dedicated to a problem which is important both theoretically and practical- ly — teaching future specialists to deal with their life difficulties through a positive expe- rience of active socially significant behavior, namely, volunteer activity. Modelling is considered as an optimal way of structuring the process of pedagogic research. The article presents a theoretic foundation for the model of teaching students to use constructive strategies of overcoming difficult life situations through volunteer activity, which in turn is an integral system including 3 interrelated blocks concerning aims, organization and as- sessment. Besides, the author describes system, interdisciplinary and activity methodolog- ical approaches which served as basis for the 3 model blocks, and pedagogic conditions for teaching students to use constructive strategies of overcoming difficult life situations through volunteer activity. As a result, the author concludes that involvement in volunteer activity during university years creates the necessary conditions for choosing a wide range of efficient strategies of overcoming life problems.
