the Article is devoted to the definition and justification of the role of communi- cative competence of cadets of the Ministry of internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in the police profession. The author considers and analyzes official statistics data and de- velopments of modern specialists in the field of law, pedagogy and sociology. As a result of the analysis, the main problems and ways to solve the formation of communicative competence in the educational system of cadets are highlighted.
