In the context of the changes in the federal state educational standard, it is neces- sary to involve students in creative activities for the development of their personality, con- struction of knowledge, creativity, independence. We consider the use of information and communication technologies as a means of increasing interest in technical and artistic crea- tivity. The use of ICT in handicraft classes is especially relevant in the conditions of dis- tance learning. We use iMovie video editor as a tool. This article shows the possibilities of using iMovie video editor in project activities at lessons and extracurricular handicraft clas- ses. We have given the examples of projects implemented with the use of iMovie video editor. By means of this program students learn how to edit a video file, overlay sound and various effects. This makes the process of working on the project fascinating.
