SERGEY NAMSARAEV: A MENTOR. A SCIENTIST. A POLITICIAN

The article briefly discusses the multifaceted life and professional journeys, as well as the qualities of Sergey Dashinimayevich Namsaraev, the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Buryatia, who worked from 1989 to 2008. Namsaraev is described as a state and political figure, scientist, and educator. The article aims to explore the scientific aspect and proposes the idea of implementing a national component, developed by Namsaraev and presented as the "didactic core" of educational content in educational organizations in the republic. The main method used was a review of theoretical and other sources. The research has resulted in conclusions drawn from the analysis of Namsaraev's activities as a research scientist dealing with issues of education, upbringing, and management of these processes, as well as the national-cultural problems of Buryatia in relation to the culture of related and other peoples of the country.
