Annotation:
The article explains the issues of education management through the analysis of contemporary processes in society. The authors focus on municipal mechanisms for im- proving the quality of education. The methodological guidelines considered in the article are based on the scientific works of S. D. Namsaraev, a scientist and expert. The goals and values of the education system, dictated by the time then, have predetermined the develop- ment of modern project solutions for managing the quality of Russian education. According to the authors, new approaches to managing the quality of municipal education are based on a system of state-public governance, which was identified and implemented in the practice of schools in the Republic of Buryatia by S. D. Namsaraev, Minister of Education and Sci- ence of the Republic of Buryatia (1989‒2008).
