At the present stage of development of our society, education is becoming an in- creasingly powerful driving force for economic growth, increased efficiency, and competi- tiveness of the country. Currently, the education system of the Russian Federation is under- going significant changes associated with the implementation of the new generation of Fed- eral State Educational Standards (FSES) and a shift in the model of cultural-historical de- velopment. However, no matter what changes occur in the education system, they ultimate- ly depend on the individual performer — the school teacher. It is the educator who plays a key role in implementing various innovations into practice, therefore they must possess general and professional competencies. Professional competence is a necessary condition for the effectiveness of the educational process. The article discusses the creation of an in- dividual educational route for a young specialist, the structure of an individual educational route, its positive impact on the formation of teaching competencies, and the improvement of a teacher's professional results. It also highlights personal experience in creating an indi- vidual educational route for a young teacher, its use, and the results.
