The article describes one of the methods of strategic planning — SWOT analysis used to evaluate factors and phenomena influencing the project or company. SWOT-analysis as a method for strategic planning of educational activities, a modern private school allows you to define the key factors or the complication of the process of implementation of student-centered approach in its activities. In the framework of the SWOT analysis discusses the strengths and weaknesses of contemporary Russian private schools, the opportunities, limitations and risks the implementation of student-centered approach in their educational environment. In the article under the person-centered approach refers to the theory, the founder of which is a well-known American psychotherapist C. R. Rogers. SWOT analysis allowed to conclude that the strengths of the Russian private schools, and it may allow you to implement a person-centered approach, not take a wor- thy place in a public school.
