Problems of training of specialists for digital economy on the example of Pacific National University in which the program of internationalization till 2020 is implemented are presented in the publication. It is claimed that basis of effective training of specialists in modern society relies on technical and social and economic competences. According to the author, training of high-quality experts demands application of engineering and economic approach in education, balance of competences of digital technologies and competences of digital economy.
