Annotation:
Historical prerequisites of development of the international education in Tomsk are presented in the publication. Factors of increase in the contingent of foreign students in higher education institutions of the city are designated. The contingent of foreign students — representatives of neighboring countries is characterized. Tasks of the organization of the international education in respect of adaptation and training of foreign students are defined.
