FEATURES OF PREVENTION OF BAD HABITS AMONG STUDENTS OF A PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY: PROBLEMS AND PROSPECTS

The article is devoted to the problem of the prevention of bad habits associated with alcohol use among young people. The goal is to develop ways of preserving natural sobriety in the youth environment, and in case of its loss — restoration. To achieve this goal, the author approaches through the special course «Sobriology» based on the psychological-pedagogical method of G.A. Shichko, where it is planned to fill out 30 diaries of self-examination before bedtime. The results of preventive measures show that few manage to complete the course. According to the author, the passage of the full course allows: firstly, to increase the number of people leading a sober lifestyle; secondly, to reduce the level of adolescent alcoholism; thirdly, it is an example of a sober, healthy lifestyle for the younger generation, close envi- ronment and society as a whole. The author believes that full-time students lead a sober, healthy lifestyle and, if necessary, can become methodologists for getting rid of alcohol ad- diction.
