Annotation:
Currently, some parents, due to various circumstances, improperly fulfill the obligation to support their children or refuse it altogether. In this regard, the financial situation of children is significantly deteriorating, which affects their overall well- being. The author considers measures of family-legal, administrative and criminal responsibility of parents for improper performance of alimony obligations, which are often insufficient to protect the property rights of children. The article presents foreign experience in providing financial support for children in case of parents' evasion of alimony obligations. A way to solve this problem in the Russian Federation is also proposed.
